Not only is Bianca struggling with her new existence as a wraith, but she is also trying to help Lucas adjust to his new 'life' as a vampire. Lucas seems to have a harder time adjusting than Balthazar would like, so they seek assistance at Evernight Academy. While there, they begin to unravel the dark plans that Mrs. Bethany has put into action, pitting the wraiths against the vampires. Meanwhile, Bianca and Lucas are also struggling to find a way to maintain their love even after death.
Meh. That's how I felt when I finished this book. The beginning of this series was so strong. The twists and turns really kept you guessing as to what would happen next. Every time you thought you had something figured out, you'd find you were mistaken. Most of this book was like that. Unfortunately, the ending was sappy/mushy/cheesiness and left me feeling (for lack of a better word) just 'meh.' Hopefully her books chronicling Balthazar's life won't leave me feeling the same way!
