Janie is asked to use her dreamcatching talent to work undercover for the local police. They have gotten a tip that there may be a teacher at her high school preying on students. While Janie is excited for her first assignment, Cabel, is less than thrilled by the idea of using Janie as bait for a sexual predator. As Janie tries to get clues for her case through her classmates’ dreams, she is also learning about her fate as a dreamcatcher through notes left by another dreamcatcher who worked for the police. When she is finally invited to a party that may help her catch the predator, she realizes that she may be in over her head.
As suspenseful as the first, this book is a real page-turner. Watch for the third book in the series, Gone, coming in March 2010.
