Cal contracted a parasite when he lost his virginity. Luckily, he is just a carrier and the parasite doesn’t affect him the way it does the other people who are parasite positive, or ‘peeps.’ Cal is able to use some of his superhuman abilities to track down other peeps for the Night Watch, an underground group of vampire hunters. These peeps include his ex-girlfriends whom he has accidently infected with the parasite. As he tracks his progenitor, Morgan, he comes to the realization that things are not what he has been led to believe and that the Night Watch has been hiding some big truths from him.
With the combination of mystery, suspense, and science (mini biology lessons between chapters), this book is fantastic!
