Aislinn is a girl who has been raised to fear the faeries that she and her grandmother see although no one else can. Her grandmother has taught her to ignore the faeries at all costs and to do nothing to attract their attention. She feels safe with Seth, a guy who lives in an old train car, not only because of the friendship they share, but because his home is made out of steel, which repels faeries. When she notices that the new boy at school, Keenan, is a faerie and that he clearly has his sights set on her, she does everything she knows of to dissuade him. Meanwhile, she is struggling with the rapidly changing relationship she has with Seth. Unfortunately, when she learns that Keenan is the Summer King and believes that Aislinn is his lost Summer Queen, she wonders if there is any way to avoid his pursuit.
Marr creates a world that is extremely complex and believable. A very exciting story that will suck you right in!
