Witch & Wizard by James Patterson

Wisty and Whit Allgood are a sister and brother living a normal life. Until the N.O. (New Order)takes over the government. Suddenly they are criminals, torn from their family in the middle of the night, slammed into prison, and accused of being a witch and a wizard. Thousands of young people have been kidnapped, their fate unknown, and the ruling regime will stop at nothing to suppress life and liberty, music and books, art and magic...and the pursuit of being a normal teenager. Whit and Wisty must quickly come to grips with the responsibilities thrust upon them, because they are the only ones who can fight the New Order.

This book was fantastic! It will really transport you to the world of Whit and Wisty where many things are banned by the New Order, such as certain books like: The Firegirl Saga (Twilight), Gary Blotter and the Guild of Rejects (Harry Potter), The Thunder Stealer (Percy Jackson), and the list goes on. This book has action, romance, mystery and humor. The sequel is rumored to be called "The Gift".

Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr

Ani is different than everyone around her. Her mother was mortal and her father is Gabriel, leader of the Hunt. She isn't strong enough to be included in the Hunt, but is too faery to truly fit in with her halfling siblings in the mortal world. She also requires touch and emotions in order to feed, something unique even in the faery world, which draws the attention of many dangerous enemies. Devlin is the High Queen's Bloody Hands. He was created to do her bidding and act as assassin. When his path crosses Ani's (and not for the first time), the future of Faerie is set to change forever.

I absolutely loved this book! The relationship between Ani and Devlin is hard to resist and the tensions growing between Courts give this story some suspense. With so many characters from the other stories playing integral roles in this book and the introduction of new characters (like Rae, an incorporeal dreamwalker), this story definitely lives up to its predecessors. And with all of the open storylines, I just KNOW there'll be another Wicked Lovely book and I can't wait to read it!
